Editorial calendar

The scientific series has an annual cadence; each issue is published in October-November (at the end of the double blind peer review and evaluation process) and includes the contributions received in definitive form not later than 31st August (starting from volume 2019 - n° 3 - the deadline will be advanced to 30th June 2019).
 
 
Fields of Interest

• Criticism, commentary, and constitutio textus of complete and fragmentary texts (comedy and tragedy);
• Reasonable attemps of reconstructions of incomplete tetralogies;
• Research on theater plots known for indirect tradition;
• Developments of theatrical plot between the Greek and Latin world;
• Influence of foreign theater traditions on the Greek and Latin theater.
• Influence of other forms of art (dance, mime) on the development of the Greek and Latin theatre;
• New scenographic considerations based on the testimonies of internal captions, marginalia, scholia and archaeological evidences;
• Medieval, humanistic, modern and contemporary traditions of ancient drama;
• Relation between the dramatic genre and other disciplines (historiography, anthropology and philosophy)
• Reception of ancient drama in modern cultures (arts and literatures).
 
 
How to contribute

The languages of publication are Italian or English.
Frammenti sulla scena follows a doubleblind peer review process, according to the international scientific criteria.
All submissions should be sent (in pdf and doc/docx) to the e-mail address teatro.classico@unito.it with a short CV, with biography and list of (main) publications (max. 1 page).
 
 
Extension of manuscripts and editorial guidelines

The evaluation of the extension of manuscripts - that should remain below 60,000-70,000 characters including spaces - is entrusted to the sensitivity of each author. The editorial guidelines for the formatting of the contributions are available on the dedicated page accessible from the menu at the top of this page. Please follow these rules scrupulously.
